I did something pretty dumb last weekend. I decided to experiment and shoot my Flourless Chocolate Cake recipe in RAW mode, only realizing when I went to edit my finished shots in Photoshop that my version of the software can’t read files shot in RAW. And obviously the cake was no longer intact by the time I figured out my mistake, so it looks like I won’t be sharing the recipe with you until I decide to make it again! Total rookie mistake. Oh well. On the bright side, it was deliciously dense, moist and intensely chocolatey.
I found I could preview the files, just not open them in Bridge or Photoshop. Here’s a screen capture of an unedited shot. Doesn’t that cake look tasty?
Otherwise, here’s what happened this week:
What I posted:
- Kale and Orange Salad with Blueberries and Cashews
- Date-Nut Energy Bars
- No-Bake White Chocolate Lime Cheesecake Bars with an Oreo Cookie Crust
What I read:
It seems like this is the year of getting around to books I’ve meant to read for ages. This week, I started The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas. It’s a daunting behemoth of a novel, and I think I saw a movie version of it a long time ago, but it has been on my “to read” shelf for far too long so I decided to dive in. According to my Kindle, I am about 6% of the way through; it’s going to be a long journey, but hopefully worth it in the end.
Short and sweet this week, folks. That’s all for now!
Until next time,
